Shingles Vaccine Are you over the age of 50? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends adults over the age of 50 get the Shingles Vaccine. Walk in to get your Shingles vaccine today. Some prescription insurance may cover these costs.

What exactly is shingles? Shingles are caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. Only someone who has had a case of chickenpox – or has had the chickenpox vaccine – can get shingles. This virus stays in your body and can manifest many years later as shingles.

How effective is the Shingles Vaccine?
The purpose of the vaccine is to prevent you from getting a severe case of shingles. It does not prevent you from getting it ever again.

Will I need a booster shot? No, the shingles vaccination is a once-in-a-lifetime shot.
