Arthritis is an all-too common, yet often misunderstood health issue. With over 50 million American adults and 300,000 children currently suffering from joint pain or disease as a result of this condition, it's no surprise that May has been officially designated "Arthritis Awareness Month" to help raise understanding about the different forms of arthritis — like osteoarthritis (OA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and gout — along with prevention strategies while highlighting proper self-care habits. Taking some time out during this month can lead to invaluable insights into keeping yourself healthy if you're affected by one form of arthritis or another!
