Every April for over 30 years, communities have come together to help reduce the stigma of alcohol addiction during Alcohol Awareness Month. This nationwide effort has been an essential part of addressing one of our nation’s most pressing public health issues. During this month-long observance, schools and organizations across the country use educational programs and resources to highlight prevention strategies that can bring understanding into how we address alcoholism in society today.
