Breaking the Silence on Intimate & Pelvic Health
Women’s health includes every part of your well-being—including the topics that are often left unspoken.
This Women’s Health Month, we’re helping break the silence around sexual health, pelvic health, and hormonal wellness. Concerns like pelvic discomfort, dryness, hormonal changes, painful intimacy, bladder concerns, and menopause symptoms are more common than many realize—and they deserve attention, support, and solutions.
At Northern Pharmacy & Medical Equipment, our Compounding Lab works with healthcare providers to create personalized medications tailored to your unique needs. From hormone-based therapies and menopause support to customized formulations designed for comfort and relief, compounding can offer solutions when standard treatments may not be the right fit.
Symptoms such as irregular periods, fatigue, mood changes, weight fluctuations, and vaginal discomfort may be linked to hormonal changes caused by perimenopause, menopause, stress, or other health conditions. Lifestyle support, provider guidance, and personalized treatment options can all play an important role in improving quality of life.
Your comfort, confidence, and quality of life matter. If you’re experiencing symptoms or have concerns, talk with your healthcare provider about whether compounded solutions may be right for you.

National High Blood Pressure Education Month—a time to raise awareness about hypertension and the importance of knowing your numbers.
High blood pressure, also called hypertension, is often known as the “silent killer” because it may not cause noticeable symptoms while increasing the risk of serious health problems like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and other complications. Nearly half of U.S. adults have high blood pressure, and only about 1 in 4 have it under control.
Taking small steps can make a big difference in managing your blood pressure and protecting your overall health.
Ways to Support Healthy Blood Pressure:
Check your blood pressure regularly
Stay active with regular physical activity
Reduce sodium (salt) and eat a heart-healthy diet
Maintain a healthy weight
Limit alcohol and avoid smoking
Manage stress and prioritize quality sleep
Take medications as prescribed by your healthcare provider
Women should also be aware that certain health conditions, hormonal changes, and pregnancy-related concerns can affect blood pressure and overall heart health.
At Northern Pharmacy & Medical Equipment, we encourage patients to stay proactive with regular wellness checkups, medication management, and preventive care. Knowing your numbers today can help protect your health tomorrow.
